***Help Your 3rd Grader Become a STAR on the STAAR Math Test***
This is a 3-hour enrichment and tutoring workshop that will prepare your student for the 3rd Grade STAAR Math test. There will be independent and group learning, fun, games, and competitions to help them review and gain a solid understanding of critical math concepts, so that they can achieve high scores. All instruction is aligned with the Texas state standards (TEKs) listed below.
Number Sense and Operations
Geometry and Measurement
Algebraic Relationships
Data Analysis and Financial Literacy
Students will learn how to:
1. Analyze the question and discover what they are looking for
2. Understand what they need to solve the problem
3. Apply test-taking strategies, including finding answers that can be crossed out
