BLK EYE Bar Brawl
Event Details
Rules of the 2018 BLK EYE Bar Brawl
1. Teams may consist of one (1) to no more than four (4) amateur mixologists. You will register your mixologists on
October 6th, at the distillery. There are no substitutions after your mixologists are registered.
2. You must be available on both Saturdays, October 6th and 13th, to participate.
3. No other spirit (alcohol, alcoholic mixer, any liquor other than BLK EYE Vodka) is allowed during infusing on October
6th or during mixing on October 13th. (TABC regulations.)
4. On Saturday, October 6th, you will descend upon the distillery at 6pm, to purchase your bottle of BLK EYE Vodka and
infuse it with your non-alcoholic ingredients. BlackEyed Distilling will provide the infusing container. Each team will provide all the ingredients necessary to infuse their vodka. Each team will leave their infused vodka at the Distillery and we will guard your finished infusion as if it were our own child. (The one we like.)
5. On Saturday, October 13th, you will once again descend upon the Distillery at 6pm, and mix your cocktail. You will
serve mini versions to all judges and all spectators who choose to taste. If you need garnish or juices other than what we carry, you will need to bring enough for each mini cocktail. (We have cherries, limes, lemons, oranges, blueberries, celery, cucumber, bleu cheese-stuffed olives, jalapeño-stuffed olives, and jalapeño bacon, as well as orange juice, dark cherry juice, cranberry juice, Zing Zang, lemonade, limeade, grapefruit juice, sweet tea, root beer, ginger beer, olive brine, tonic, and soda water.)
6. All mixologists must be 21 years of age to participate.
7. Everyone except the first-place winner will be able to go home with the remainder of their infusion. The remainder of
the first-place winner’s infusion will be discussed in the Prizes section.
8. You will not be a butthead to your competition. (Management determines buttheadery.)
9. You will not bribe the judges or spectators in any way.
