Event Details
Recognizing the problem is only the first step. In these uncertain times, health disparities do not make good societal and financial sense. Health disparities hurt all of us! It is only common sense to close the gap in health care disparities among African Americans. The African American Health Expo (AAHExpo) has led the way with long-standing and well-respected community efforts in Tarrant County to address health disparities among African Americans. The range of these efforts include: access, awareness, education, and health care screenings.
This year, the theme for the 19th Annual AAHExpo Health Disparities from Awareness to Action, continues our very important journey to address and solve the deep rooted health disparities that challenge key efforts toward progress. The AAHExpo organization recognized that obtaining access and creating awareness were not enough to effectively reduce or eliminate health disparities. They must also be followed by tangible and sustainable community actions. Creating good healthcare opportunities among the African American community promotes health equity where all races, ethnicities, and socioeconomic groups can achieve better health outcomes. Everyone deserves a chance to live a long healthy life!
See you and yours at the AAHExpo!
