Photo Expedition - Texas Panhandle/Palo Duro Canyon
To ensure everyone has a great time, please link to and review my Expedition Policy page on my website before registering. Registration confirms that you have read and agreed to my Photo Expedition policies. Thank you.
Meet native Texan and award winning photographer, artist and educator, Edgar Miller of Edgar Miller Images, for three days and nights of scenic photography as he transports you around the amazing Texas Panhandle. This trip is for beginners to advanced photographers. The surprisingly beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park will be the focus for both morning, evening and night photography, but you will experience and photograph other amazing ecosystems of the Texas Panhandle. Edgar will start each day at the recommended hotel in south Amarillo. You are welcome to stay at any lodging nearby, but each day will start and end at the base hotel. Edgar will be transporting the group by van to the morning and evening photographic locations and to delicious cafes and restaurants he has found for the group.
Edgar will be teaching you new photographic techniques and giving you aesthetic advice to apply at the location of the day. A small group allows him to help everyone with their photographic questions while on location. There will be an afternoon of photo review and Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop techniques, so bring your laptop and the latest versions of both programs. This trip includes lunch, dinner (excluding alcoholic beverages) and transportation to the photographic sites along with any entrance fees. Not included is lodging and transportation to and from Amarillo. Rooms with a group rate at the south Amarillo Holiday Inn Express & Suites have been reserved, which includes a breakfast buffet (details in an email after you register). October weather in the Texas Panhandle can vary so dressing in layers is recommended. There will be moderate hiking (rocky terrain, uphill climbs, non-stop hikes) with you carrying your camera equipment, so bring appropriate hiking shoes and gear. This trip requires the participant to be in good health and stamina. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact Edgar.
