If so, PROVE THEM RIGHT! Apply to be a contestant for Jabo's Ace 2nd, Grill Your Ace Off: Egg Fest & Charity Grilling Competition! We provide a brand NEW large or X-large Big Green Egg for you to use to offer up samples to our valued customers and to our prestigious judges for a chance to win BIG prizes! The grand prize winner, selected by our panel of judges, will take home their competition Egg! Each egg comes with a nest, plate setter, ash tool and grippers! That's valued at $1,121.97!
We want to call attention that this is NOT a formal BBQ competition. The Big Green Egg is one of the most versatile cooking devices on the planet and this event is to celebrate all that it can do. Contestants can bake cookies, make a stew, sear a steak, go completely vegan or do whatever they want! All we require is that you make it on site and cook it in the Big Green Egg!
The competition runs in two parts:
1. People's Choice Tasting- from 11am to 2pm: Here you will serve the community small sample size portions of whatever you like. Each person that attends the event will have just ONE vote. At 2pm we will collect the votes and name the People's Choice Winner shortly after!
2. Judge Tasting- 2pm to 3:30pm: Here you will serve our panel of judges whatever you would like. This could be anything from champion style brisket to a slice of cobbler. Get crazy and make a main dish with sides to really impress the judges.
To hold your spot we require a non-refundable registration fee of at least $125. The proceeds from this fee will be donated to Children's Miracle Network benefiting Cook Children's right here in Fort Worth. Please specify your total contribution to CMN when registering for your spot.
